Levodopa and other dopaminergic medications must be given on a precise schedule to keep dopamine levels steady. Late or missed doses cause "off" episodes with freezing, rigidity, and falls. Our RNs ensure on-time dosing every time.
How do you handle freezing episodes?
Our caregivers are trained in cueing strategies — visual markers, rhythmic counting, and laser-pointer cues — that help break freezing gait safely. We also identify and minimize environmental triggers like tight spaces and turns.
Can you help prevent falls?
Yes. Fall prevention is central to Parkinson's care. We assess the home for hazards, support transfers and walking, and coordinate with physical therapy when appropriate. Our RNs track balance changes and adjust the care plan.
Do you coordinate with my neurologist?
