Home health delivers skilled medical services (nursing, physical therapy) prescribed by a doctor and typically covered by Medicare. How much does home care cost in New Jersey?

Home care in New Jersey generally ranges from $28 to $35 per hour for a single caregiver, or $250 to $350 per day for full-day coverage. White Dove offers transparent, flat-rate daily or hourly pricing with no hidden fees. How quickly can care begin?

After your free RN assessment, care can often begin within 24 to 48 hours. We understand that needs can be urgent — our team moves quickly to match your family with the right caregiver and get support in place.

What makes nurse-led care different from other home care agencies?

Unlike agencies that hire caregivers without clinical oversight, every White Dove care plan is built and regularly reviewed by a registered nurse. This means your loved one receives coordinated medical awareness alongside compassionate daily support — reducing hospital readmissions, catching medication issues early, and giving families genuine clinical peace of mind.

Are your caregivers W-2 employees or contractors?

White Dove caregivers are W-2 employees with benefits — not independent contractors. This means we handle payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, and bonding, and our caregivers receive paid training, paid time off, and ongoing RN supervision. For families, that means reliable, accountable care from people who are part of our team rather than gig workers sent to your home.

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Yes. We have a 4-hour minimum per visit. This ensures caregivers have enough time to provide quality care — including meaningful companionship — rather than rushing between short visits. Longer shifts (8, 12, or 24 hours) and live-in care are available for families who need continuous support.

Do you provide care in facilities?

Yes. We provide supplemental care in assisted living, rehab, and hospital settings throughout Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Our caregivers work alongside facility staff to give your loved one extra one-on-one attention, help prevent falls, and ease transitions back home.

What training do your caregivers receive?

Every White Dove caregiver completes RN-supervised training, CPR and First Aid certification, and dementia care certification before stepping into a home. Ongoing education covers medication reminders, infection control, fall prevention, and person-centered care — all reviewed regularly by our registered nurses.
